    Do Pleasanton Holiday Season

    December 14, 2017

What To Do In Pleasanton This Holiday Season

The holiday season is a delightful time of year, and the Tri-Valley area is about to come alive with festive lights and attractions that you won't want to miss. Who doesn't love to see twinkling lights and wreaths draped over the town, especially without the frigid cold and snow? If you happen to live in or near the apartments in the Bay Area, here's what you can look forward to.

    The English Rose Tea Room

All the way up to December 30th, The English Rose Tea Room and Gifts is celebrating the change of seasons by decorating the entire building with festive decor. Come and enjoy the decorations as you dine on their exquisite Christmas menu featuring a host of delicacies served up in lavish style, not to mention their famous holiday themed teas. After dinner, step into the gift shot where you will find gorgeous gifts to give your loved ones on the 25th.

    The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

The Amador Theater, located right here in Pleasanton, is hosting four showings of the aptly named Best Christmas Pageant Ever from Friday, December 8th to Sunday, December 17. This family-friendly event features the story of a couple trying their best to put together a Christmas pageant, only to be faced with casting the insanely mischievous Herdman kids. Think Home Alone's Kevin McCallister meets Dennis the Menace, and you can imagine the type of mayhem about to take place.

    Showtimes are as follows:

    Friday: 7:30 pm
    Saturday: 2 and 7:30 pm
    Sunday: 2 pm

    Fifth Night of Hanukkah

Bring your Hanukkiah and prepare for a night of fellowship, singing, and good deeds after Shabbat. Following proceedings, families can enjoy a catered meal together, then create holiday gifts for local families in need as part of the Congregation Beth Emek's community outreach program. Giving is the spirit of the season, and what better way to give than to spend your time helping those who need it the most?

    Annual Holiday Home Tour

If you enjoy gazing at beautifully decorated homes, then head over to San Ramon Valley for the 13th Annual Holiday Home Tour hosted by Danville-Alamo-Walnut Creek Branch of the American Association of University Women. Complete with a quilt drawing and light refreshments, this elaborate tour is the perfect place to get your fix of holiday lights. All proceeds benefit local women and provide Tech Trek Sponsorship for middle-school girls.

    Homemade Holiday

Sometimes, a gift from the heart is the best gift of all. The town of Danville invites tweenagers (8-12) to an afternoon of creative, personalized gift making workshop where they can get into the holiday spirit with friends and family. Parents are welcome to work with their children, or allow them to use their creative muses to create something of their own design. Afterwards, they can package their creations at the gift wrapping station. Plenty of refreshments will be available during the event, too.

    Breakfast With Santa

Speaking of the holly jolly icon, families can come get their pictures taken with Santa at the Sannon Community Center in Dublin. St. Nick will join everyone as they enjoy a hot pancake breakfast served with sausage, fruit, coffee and juice. Afterwards, he'll be posing for all the photos you can take. Make sure to register early if you're interested in this event. Tickets sell out fast!

    The Nutcracker

This timeless holiday classic is a staple of the Christmas season, and you can enjoy the magical performance at the Bankhead Theater in Livermore. From Saturday the 9th to Sunday the 17th, this classical ballet and contemporary dance production will be playing in its entirety complete with original compositions from Tchaikovsky. This is one production you won't want to miss.

    An Irish Christmas

Continuing the holiday spirit with a unique production, the Bankhead Theater will be showing An Irish Christmas on Thursday, December 21st at 7:30 pm. This delightful display of song, dance, and storytelling features traditional instruments including the bodhran and uilleann pipes, as well as other Celtic instruments to create a uniquely Irish sound. Scores range from soothing ballads to vigorous dance tunes, including hymns in the style of Carol of the Bells.

    Apartments in the Bay Area

All of these spectacular holiday events surround the wonderful town of Pleasanton, home to the new luxury apartment dwellings at Vintage.
